1. Acceptance of services
By scheduling, confirming, or allowing Pane N The Glass to perform services on a property, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the property owner. If you are booking on behalf of another party, you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. Quotes, pricing, and payment
- All quotes — including instant online estimates — are good-faith ballparks. The final flat-rate price is confirmed in writing once we walk the property or review photos.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days. Pricing may change for jobs that differ materially from what was described at the time of quote (e.g., square footage, surface type, height, access, or contamination level).
- Payment is due upon completion of the job unless other terms have been agreed in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Returned checks may incur a $35 fee.
- Past-due balances may accrue interest at 1.5% per month (or the maximum allowed by Alabama law, whichever is less) and may be referred for collection.
3. Scheduling, weather, and cancellations
- Outdoor cleaning is weather-dependent. We may reschedule for rain, freezing temperatures, high wind, or lightning. Weather reschedules are free of charge.
- Client-initiated cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start may be subject to a $50 trip fee to cover reserved crew time.
- If our crew arrives and is unable to access the property or perform the job through no fault of ours, a trip fee equal to the lesser of $99 or 25% of the quoted price may apply.
4. Property access and preparation
- You agree to provide safe and unobstructed access to the work area, including a working exterior water spigot within 100 feet of the work and an exterior outlet where applicable.
- Before our arrival, please close all windows and doors, remove fragile items, lawn furniture, and vehicles from the work area, and inform us of any known leaks, loose siding, damaged screens, exposed wiring, broken seals, or sensitive landscaping.
- You are responsible for securing pets indoors during service.
5. Soft washing, pressure, and surface limitations
Pressure washing and soft washing inherently involve water, cleaning solutions, and pressure. Even when performed correctly, these services may expose pre-existing conditions including but not limited to:
- Failed or worn paint, stain, sealant, or caulking
- Loose, cracked, or improperly installed siding, shingles, or trim
- Damaged or rotten wood, soffits, fascia, or window frames
- Compromised window seals, screens, or weather stripping
- Oxidation, chalking, fading, or discoloration that becomes more visible once dirt is removed
We are not responsible for damage caused by, or made apparent because of, pre-existing defects. We will use the lowest pressure and gentlest detergent appropriate for each surface.
6. Roof soft wash and shingles
Roof cleaning is performed using a low-pressure soft-wash method with biodegradable solutions. Some loss of granules, lichen fragments, or loose debris is normal on aged roofs. We do not guarantee removal of permanent staining, lichen scarring, or damage that exists beneath the surface.
7. Windows, screens, and tracks
Streak-free results assume sound, undamaged glass. We do not warrant against existing scratches, hard-water etching, broken seals (foggy double-pane glass), or screen damage caused by removal of brittle or sun-degraded screens. We will notify you before proceeding with anything we believe is at risk.
8. Plants, landscaping, and pets
We pre-rinse and post-rinse landscaping during soft-wash work and use plant-friendly detergents at appropriate dilution. Even so, sensitive plants may be affected. We are not liable for damage to plants, sod, or landscaping when our standard rinse procedures have been followed. Please notify us in advance of any sensitive specimens.
9. Concrete, driveways, and surface cleaning
Concrete is a porous, naturally inconsistent material. Some stains (rust, deep oil, paint, battery acid, fertilizer burns, and certain organic stains) may not fully come out, and prior repairs or pours may clean to a slightly different shade. Surface cleaning may also reveal pre-existing cracks, spalling, or settling.
10. Satisfaction guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a portion of the work, notify us within 48 hours of completion and we will return at no charge to re-clean any reasonable area where standard cleaning results were not achieved. The guarantee does not cover items called out in sections 5 through 9 above, or staining or biological growth that requires a different service to address.
11. Insurance and liability
Pane N The Glass carries general liability insurance. Our total liability for any claim arising out of services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Any claim of damage must be reported in writing within 7 days of the service date and we must be given the opportunity to inspect and, where reasonable, repair the issue before any third party is engaged.
12. Photographs and marketing
We may take before and after photos of the work area for quality control and marketing. Photos will not include the property address, identifying features of the interior, or people. If you prefer we not use photos of your property publicly, let us know in writing before the job begins.
13. Products purchased through this site
Cleaning products offered through our shop are sold subject to availability. Products are intended for the uses described on the label; please follow all label instructions. Local pickup and delivery details are confirmed with each order.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date your service is scheduled is the version that applies to that service.
